Kumawood actor Agya Koo is trending in the news for his comments about Ghana’s governance. According to the openly partisan supporter of the NPP, Nana Addo’s government has achieved more than any preceding government, including Ghana’s first president, Osaygyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
Agya Koo made this assertion in an interview with ace actor Kwaku Manu.
“I will never lie in the presence of God. No government has worked or built factories more than Akuffo-Addo. Kuffuor played his part. That is why I’m saying that everyone has played a part, but none has done more than Akufo-Addo.”
Agya Koo revealed that many projects are sprouting in obscure places in Ghana that remain hidden. He blamed the media for not promoting the goodwill of the government.
“I am a mature man who has seen his fair share of life. When I saw the kind of development Akufo-Addo started all over the place, I wondered if it was the communicators who decided to deceive Ghanaians.
“Ghanaians can say whatever they like, but I still stand by my words. No government can match Akufo-Addo,” he repeated.
According to Agya Koo, Nkrumah cannot be Ghana’s best president because he just managed projects developed by the exiting colonial masters. He also added that Nkrumah betrayed the Big Six and stole their success story.
“Our elders say Kwame Nkrumah did not open even 10 factories. The white men who built those infrastructures before he became president,” Agya Koo concluded.
