The National Chairman of the opposition Nation Democratic Congress (NDC) is wondering if President Akufo-Addo is living in Ghana.
Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo believes the President is living on a different planet.
“President Akufo-Addo has ignored Ghanaians, he’s living on another planet, and he is not aware of the hardship Ghanaians are going through”. Ofosu Ampofo stated in an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time.
The National Charmin of the opposition party is of the view that the President should have had empathy which he said Nana Akufo-Addo does not have.
When asked whether his party, the NDC is an alternative to solve Ghana’s problem, Mr Ampofo said; “Under NDC Ghanaians never faced this unprecedented rate of increased inflation.”
“Apart from Nigeria all the neighbouring countries have single-digit inflation; the price of one gallon of fuel under Mahama can now buy a bottle of fuel under Akufo-Addo”.
He emphasized that the NDC has never said the price of items would be stagnant but the prices of goods and services in recent times are unbearable.
“We have not said the prices will be stagnant but the rate at which it’s increasing is dangerous. If Angel Gabriel and Michael had descended from heaven to prophesy to me that the price of fuel will be increased over Ghc60 and the dollar at this price I would have challenged them.” The Chairman lamented.
