Popular Ghanaian rap artist, Michael Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie has indicated what he hates in the music industry.
According to the Don’t Cry crooner, he hates the state of putting cameras on him when he’s given out money in a form of support.
Sarkodie has received criticism throughout the years for allegedly not being generous enough. Unlike several of his musical peers, he does not monetarily support his audience.
The well-known Ghanaian rapper shot down the rumours in a recent interview, with Mac G from south Africa.
The rapper reaffirmed his catchphrase “money no be a problem” in an interview with South Africa’s largest podcast network, “Podcast and Chill,” and added that being open about the support he provides to people is not who he is.
He claimed, “I am not stingy, I don’t just like giving money on a camera,” because, in his opinion, it is disrespectful to tell the media after lending someone a helping hand.
He claimed that despite it being clear that those who publicly shower them with cash have evil motives, Africans have an unwavering love for them.
“I don’t want to call Ghanaians, but I believe Africans adore it when people come and throw money; those are the individuals they prefer even when they have evil intentions you like them and you end up in problems.”
