Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, widely known as Mzvee has lamented how most women are being compelled to give out something in exchange for favours they mostly ask from some men.
It has been argued that women are sometimes being compelled against their will to exchange something of theirs for favours. When a woman solicits help from a man, she is being asked to do the unthinkable in exchange for the favour.
In most scenarios, women are being asked for sexual favours in a swap for the help they require. This sometimes happens when they seek occupation from organizations that are being run by men.
Mzvee speaking on Hitz FM stated that most women have been compelled against their will to do stuff they never intended to do just in exchange for favours.
She said that when a man solicits the assistance of any sort, their requests are either granted or declined but for women, they are being asked to exchange something for the favour. Most times, they are asked for sexual favours from the benefactor before their request is granted.
“If a guy goes to ask for help somewhere, he might get a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. But for a female, she would have to give something in return for the favour”, she said.
