The National Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joshua Hamidu Akamba has attributed the woeful defeat of the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu to arrogance and power drunk.
According to the National Organizer, the defeated John Boadu Boadu is inexperienced, and arrogant therefore he deserves to lose power to another person to continue.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel, Joshua Akamba said John Boadu at some point in time thought he was uncontested and therefore could win whoever decides to contest him.
“You see, let me tell you what contributed to John Boadu’s defeat. He was arrogant, power-drunk and inexperienced. That notwithstanding, he also associated himself with the wrong people who led him into the ditch. Chairman Wontumi’s Association didn’t help him at all. At some point in time, John Boadu organized a certain meeting with Abronye and some people and told them that, he had already won the election so whoever want to join him can do so, otherwise you can walk out of the meeting. How can you talk like this?” he queried.
Joshua Akamba further added that “when people vote for you for a certain position, you are being voted for to serve and not to be served. All that the people who voted for you need is to be treated with respect and not otherwise.”
The incumbent General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party John Boadu over the weekend lost his position to the CEO of Youth Employment Agency, Justin Frimpong Koduah alias JFK.
The legal practitioner polled 2,857 to win over the incumbent who polled 2,524 out of the total 5,556 votes cast
