Security Analyst, Dr. Adam Bonaa has indicated that the current happenings in Sri Lanka and other countries could be seen in Ghana.
Hundreds of angry youth of Sri Lanka besieged the Presidential Palace some days ago over the government’s mismanagement.
According to Adam Bonaa, the situations which led to the agitation in Sri Lanka is not far different the situations in Ghana.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfat Time hosted by Kwesi Parker-Wilson, the Security Analyst suggested to the President to reshuffle or sack some of his ministers and also to put up measure to stop labour agitations.
“A reshuffle, plus the dismissal of some non-performing ministers, will force citizens to give the new entrants some time to ascertain what the government will bring on board”.
He explained that what people agitate for is hope.
“Anything to give the people hope will ensure the stability of any community or country but where the people leave in state of hopelessness like Sri Lanka, Nigeria and others, when there is no hope the people begin to challenge those who are not given them hope”.
The Security Analyst further advised President Akufo-Add to do things that will give hope to Ghanaians to avoid Sri Lanka’s situation.
