A senior lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has advised the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, to stop distracting governance with the continuous filing of motions for probe into the 2020 general elections.
According to him, NDC is wasting the time of Ghanaians by filing motions without any concrete evidence of electoral results to buttress their claims.
“The NDC should rather focus on putting the right measures in place to prepare the party for their impending primaries and the 2024 general elections”. Prof. Aidoo said on Oyerepa Breakfast Time.
He referred to the action by the opposition party as a political strategy to distract the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) government and to also gain public recognition through the media.
The Lecturer also mentioned that the NDC should stop blaming the Electoral Commission (EC) and rather focus on putting together a strong and formidable Technical team of experts to be in charge of gathering concrete and credible electoral results.
Prof Aidoo further intimated that NDC should focus more on how to incorporate the minds of Ghanaians, and tell them the reasons why they are the right party for the country to be able to capture power instead of thinking the party is having the upper hand because of the current economic crisis facing its bitter rival (NPP).
He however urged the ruling party (NPP) to be united and focus on strengthening and auditing the party to enable them to fix the economic problems of the nation as these problems are making the party very unpopular in the country.
