A lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Mr Dennis Owusu Sarkodie has lambasted the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti region.
Mr Sarkodie has described the leadership in the party’s stronghold as the poorest.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Thursday, April 28 2022, he said the leadership of the party has failed to properly manage the issues in the region.
According to the Lecturer, there is enough time for the leaders to correct the wrongs.
The governing party is electing its leaders to manage the affirms of the party for the next four years.
Prior to the party’s internal elections, a lot of issues and misunderstandings came up among some supporters of various aspirants.
The lecture however blamed the leadership of the party for misfortunes.
“What is going on in the party, I would not blame anybody but the leadership at the various levels, from the polling station, constituency regional and the national. They have not done their work well”. He told Akua Asieduwaa host of the show.
Mr. Sarkodie alleged that some members of the party are skimming the process just to maintain their position.
He further asserted that the NPP can not break the eight they are preaching about if they don’t handle the problems within the party.
