Nana Asare Bediako, former District Chief Executive(DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya in the Ashanti region has chastised Akufo-Addo led government over the Covid-19 funds.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party government used the deadly covid for business in order to amass worth.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Mr Bediako indicated, the government in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic got enough money from international organizations but have used the huge money for their selfish interest.
“The NPP government benefited from Covid-19… Ghana revenue authority exceeded their revenue target; in the history of Ghana, this government has gotten enough money than any other government.”
“As a country, we got money from World Bank, International Monitory Fund (IMF), aside from that, the Ghanaian individuals, Bank of Ghana donated to the covid fund” He stated.
In the midst of the novel coronavirus, Ghana accumulated billions of US Dollars from donors.
Mr Bediako believes that, if you compare the money government had and its expenditure, it shows the government has failed Ghanaians.
He asserted that any opportunity that the NPP government gets, they will use it to make money.
