Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo has disclosed that about six minor political parties in Ghana will form one party in 2024.
According to him, the move will help them overcome the two most powerful parties in Ghana, thus; the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Disclosing the said parties to Bismarck Brown, host of Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Monday March 14, 2022, Akpaloo mentioned that All People’s Congress (APC), People’s Action Party (PAP), People’s National Convention (PNC), among others in Ghana will come together as one political party with a common destiny to contest the 2024 elections.
He revealed that, it is their intention to support the change Ghanaians are yarning for. Hence, coming together as one will help strengthen them so they can be able to fight against the major parties to gain power.
“The leaders of minor parties like LPG, APC, PNC and many others have decided to come together as one political party with common aim in the year 2024. We believe this will strengthen us. 2024 election is not going to be easy for everybody. Ghanaians have realized NPP and NDC cannot help them. We want to support Ghanaians to attain the change they are seeking for”. Akpaloo stated.
