Ghanaian businessman and politician, Akwasi Addai Odike says President Akufo–Addo and some executives are gradually collapsing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with their autocratic leadership style.
According to him, Akufo-Addo autocratically sidelined Kwabena Agyapong and Paul Afoko, after they were elected in Tamale as Chairman and Secretary of the NPP respectively. He then appointed Wontumi and others who will support his bad governance.
He said, Mr Freddie Blay (NPP National Chairman), Wontumi (NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman) are all dancing to the tune of Akufo-Addo bad leadership and this has resulted in the numerous crisis in the party.
He declared that, Akufo-Addo, Freddie Blay and Wontumi have all liaise to gag everyone in the party hence no one is able to talk about their bad leadership and this is gradually dismantling the party.
“Akufo-Addo is an autocratic leader, what he says is final. He is the bane of NPP which is collapsing today.”

The Founder of United People’s Party (UPP) further disclosed that; “all NPP executives are afraid to control Akufo-Addo. He has even gagged most journalists, the clergy among others so they’re unable to speak against his bad governance.”
