A total of 569,095 Candidates will today begin this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) at 2,123 designated Centres across the country.
They will end on Monday 15th July, 2024.
Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) in a statement on Sunday, July 7 congratulated the candidates for their hard work and fortitude and expressed its gratitude to teachers, Heads of Basic Schools, Directors of Education, Parents/Guardians and all Stakeholders for the crucial roles they have played in preparing the candidates for the examination.
“Candidates, Invigilators, Supervisors, Schools Authorities, Teachers and Parents are advised to desist from any form of examination malpractice. GES, WAEC and the Security Services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all the centres across the country.”
“Parents, candidates and the general public are informed that the school selection process will commence after the BECE. Details of the selection process will be communicated in due course,” it further stated.
