A tragic fire incident has claimed the life of a 55-year-old man, Wofa Attah, after his house was engulfed in flames at Sefwi Adjoafua in the Bia West District.

According to eyewitness reports, the fire broke out on Saturday afternoon, rapidly consuming the structure and trapping the victim inside.

Neighbours and residents who rushed to assist were unable to rescue him due to the intensity of the blaze.

Authorities were alerted immediately, and emergency services reportedly arrived on the scene, but the building had already been heavily damaged, leaving little chance of saving the victim.

The remains of Wofa Attah have since been deposited at an Essam private mortuary as investigations into the cause of the fire continue.

The origin of the blaze is still unknown, and officials have yet to determine whether it was accidental or due to other factors.
