At least 54 more Ghanaian students have touched down successfully at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra from Romania.
Over 150 Ghanaian nationals have so far arrived safely in the country from war torn Ukraine.
The sixth batch of Ghanaian nationals arrived today at 7:30 a.m. at the Kotoka International Airport.
The newly arrived students were received by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and the Government’s Spokesperson on Governance and Security, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah.
“At the moment as we speak, we have evacuated about 600 of our Ghanaian compatriots from Ukraine into neighbouring Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and the likes. And by the end of this week, we would have an extra 150 that would come that will bring our total number of arrivals in Ghana close to about 300 plus,” government’s Spokesperson on Governance and Security, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah disclosed.
