5 arrested for Nkassiem-Tepa highway robbery, Police Station attack
The Ghana Police Service has arrested five individuals suspected to be involved in a robbery attack in Nkassiem, and attacking a police station in Ahafo Region, on December 2, 2025.
The suspects, identified as Muktar Kofi, Mohammedu Sadjio (alias Salifu), Shaibu Issah Djalo (alias Zibo), Abdul Suleman, and Bukari Suley (alias Taylor).
At a press briefing, COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department, stated that the suspects allegedly blocked the Nkassiem-Tepa High road, stole GH¢12,000 from Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, and attacked a police station.
CID Boss Lydia Donkor stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the gang leader, who is currently at large and in possession of a stolen weapon.
She urged citizens to remain vigilant against cybercrime and be cautious on digital and social media platforms, as they are often used by criminals to operate.
COP Donkor also advised individuals involved in vehicle sales to exercise caution, particularly when driving at night or in isolated areas.
