Leaders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are gradually digging their defeating pit towards the impending 2024 polls, a senior lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor Robert Aidoo, has said.
“Leaders of the NPP are setting the stage for their defeat. There is total confusion in the party from constituency to the national level.”
Professor Edu was reacting to the internal fracas of the NPP concerning the candidate to lead (Flagbearer) the party in 2024 General elections.
It could be recalled that some supporters of NPP presidential hopefuls, Dr Bawumia and Mr Allan Kyeremateng have had several banters within the party.
These misunderstandings among the NPP supporters and executives concerning the party’s flagbearership race and many other positions according to Prof Edu, clearly shows that they are gradually losing the grounds ahead of 2024 polls.
He stated that, if those internal conflicts in the party are not resolved it will be very cumbersome for the NPP to “break the eight”.
Prof Aidoo thinks, some party executives who do not comply with the laid down rules of the NPP should be dealt with to serve as a deterrent to others.
“Party officers who do not comply with the laid down rules and regulations must be dealt with accordingly.” Prof Aidoo cautioned in interview with BB on Oyerepa Breakfast Time”
The Agriculture lecturer took the stand to advise the leaders of the party to be very careful about their acts else they will break the party into pieces.
“This is the time for the elders in the party to act. They need to be very careful else the party will break. It is just a family issue and must be dealt with it as such”. He advised
