The Ashanti Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Augustine Nana Kwasi Andrews has hinted at the party’s quest to garner a lot of votes in the region in the impending 2024 Ghana’s General Elections.
The NDC obtained total votes of 652,962 in Ashanti Region during the 2020 elections, an increment over the 2016 polls of 497,242.
Speaking to Oyerepa online in an exclusive interview on Monday, the NDC Chairman said, his party is going to pull a surprise in the 2024 elections.
Nana Kwasi said the NDC is going to increase their votes in the Ashanti Region.
The NDC currently has 3 Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Ashanti Region but the party will increase its tally in 2024 polls, he added.
“There is going to be a surprise in the 2024 general elections. We (NDC) are going to increase our votes and MPs in Ashanti Region.” Chairman Nana Kwasi emphatically stated.
