The Ghanaian National Alliance has issued a call to action, urging independent candidates and smaller parties to unite and challenge the longstanding duopoly of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana’s upcoming elections.
The alliance has specifically invited Kofi Koranteng, Christian Kwabena Andrews, Alan John Kyerematen, Nana Kwame Bediako, Hassan Ayariga, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, Henry Herbert Lartey, Marricke Kofi Gane, and Lawyer Anokye to join forces.
Citing 15 critical issues facing the nation, the alliance believes that a united front of independent candidates can bring innovative solutions and fresh perspectives, unencumbered by party allegiances.
At a press conference, Akwa Obodai, PRO of the Ghanaian National Alliance, emphasized the need for a shared vision, unified leadership, cohesive policy framework, and strong regional support to succeed.
By joining forces, the alliance aims to provide a viable alternative to the traditional two-party system and bring about meaningful change in Ghana’s political landscape.
“If achieved, a union government of independent candidates could offer a viable alternative to traditional party politics, foster collaboration, and address local issues more effectively,” he said.
