Renowned economist Dr. Prince Obiri Yeboah has expressed skepticism about the ability of New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to deliver on his campaign promises.
During a panel discussion on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Dr. Yeboah stated that he does not trust Dr. Bawumia to fulfill his commitments to the Ghanaian people.
“I don’t trust Dr. Bawumia to deliver on his campaign promises. His track record as Vice President has not shown any significant impact on the economy, and I doubt he can do better as President,” Dr. Yeboah said.
Dr. Yeboah’s comments come as Dr. Bawumia intensifies his campaign ahead of the 2024 elections, promising to transform the economy and improve the lives of Ghanaians.
The economist’s skepticism is based on what he perceives as a lack of concrete policies and a failure to address pressing economic issues during Dr. Bawumia’s tenure as Vice President.
