Evis Afiriyie Ankra, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned Ghanaians not to vote for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP in the upcoming election.
Speaking in an interview with Kwesi Parke Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, the former sports minister described Dr. Bawumia as a disaster.
Afiriyie Ankra pointed to the significant depreciation of the Ghanaian cedi against the US dollar during Bawumia’s tenure as Vice President, with the exchange rate soaring from GHc4 to over GHc16.
“This is a clear indication of Bawumia’s mismanagement of the economy. He has failed to deliver on his promises, and his leadership has led to unprecedented economic hardship for Ghanaians.” The former minister said.
He urged citizens not to vote for Bawumia in the December 2024 presidential election, warning that his continued leadership would exacerbate the country’s economic woes.
