Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan, has made headlines after being spotted in a heartwarming moment dining with local shoemakers during the NPP’s Sweepers for Bawumia Campaign in Accra.
The MP shared a simple meal of yam and local sauce served in an earthenware bowl, sitting side by side with the shoemaker.
The scene, which has quickly gained attention, reflects her effort to break barriers and resonate with ordinary Ghanaians.
Party members joined the MP in lively interactions with the shoemakers.
The campaign, aimed at drumming up support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the December elections, saw Lydia Alhassan and her team engaging directly with the local artisans.
Adding to the excitement, Miracles Aboagye, the Communication Director for Bawumia’s 2024 Campaign, and the Parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North Constituency, were also present, amplifying the energy on the streets of Accra as the NPP gears up for the polls.
