Ghanaian gospel musician and sound engineer, Nacee, born Nana Osei, has weighed in on the conversation over who should be crowned the Artiste of the Year at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The 24th edition of Ghana’s largest music night is set for Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Accra International Conference Center, with tickets priced at Gh500 and Gh700.
In voicing his thoughts on who should be crowned on the VGMA night, ‘Nacee stated that winning Artiste of the Year is about the musician’s impact within Ghana.
“Winning Artiste of the Year is within Ghana and the impact you made here in Ghana and for solid 11 months Piesie’s Waye Me Yie has been topping charts,” Nacee stated in an interview on Property FM.
He said, “Let’s go back and check the other colleagues who are competing with Piesie in the same category that where is the position of their songs now.
“So if you are mentioning an artiste of the year is this artiste really accepted in the Ghanaian scope, Piesie deserves it and it’s as simple as that,” he stated on Property FM.
